Within your text, place superscript numbers at the end of the clause or sentence and after all punctuation, including commas, periods, and quotation marks. To change the format of a footnote, click in the footnote, press Command+Tį11 to open the Styles window, right-click "Footnote" in the list, and then choose Modify. To edit the text of a footnote or endnote, click in the note, or click the anchor for the note in the text, or press Command Ctrl +Shift+PageDown. The mouse pointer changes to a hand when you rest it over a footnote or endnote anchor in your document. You can insert endnotes directly by clicking the Insert Endnote icon on the Standard or Insert toolbar or choose Insert - Footnote and Endnote - Endnote.
